About John Dowling

Food Safety Consultant, assisting companies big and small in reaching their Food Safety Goals through food safety consultancy, auditing and training services. My services include BRC Approval, QMS Development and Implementation, H.A.C.C.P Systems, Auditing (External & Internal), Training. I started working in the food Industry packing yogurts (Glanbia) on the factory floor as a student, to Group Technical Manager level. I have gained knowledge and experience in the following industries Brewing, Meat Processing, Sandwich, Confectionery, Ready Meals, Salads, and Red Meats, Fish and the Retail sector. I began my career in 2001 after graduating with a diploma in food science and have since studied to MSc level in Food Safety Management. Companies I have worked for include, Glanbia, Teagsc, Carlow Brewing Company, Kerry Foods, Lir Chocolates, Liffey Meats, Boyne Valley Meats, Rockabill Shellfish, BWG Foods. I have experience of maintaining Standards (BRC/ Bord Bia/IFS) across a vast range of products such as cooked meats, frozen/ fresh ready meals, seafood, salads, sandwiches and confectionery for customers such as Tesco, Musgraves, Marks & Spencers, Lidl. Throughout my career I have successfully guided the companies through dealing with BRC, Board Bia, FSAI, and Department of Agriculture.
