About John Dullea

I’m an agricultural lecturer at Clonakilty Agricultural College, where I teach and manage the sheep, suckler beef, and dairy beef enterprises. My role combines education and farm management, giving students the chance to learn through both classroom teaching and hands-on farming. I have a strong interest in breeding and herd health and enjoy connecting the latest research and technology with everyday farming. I like showing students how tools such as breeding indices, EID readers, and farm data can support better decisions on farm. I’m passionate about helping the next generation of farmers gain the skills, confidence, and knowledge they need to build a resilient and profitable future in Irish agriculture. My experience includes completing a graduate programme at Dovea Genetics, a placement with the Irish Cattle Breeding Federation, and four months working on a grass-based dairy farm in New Zealand.
