About John Early

I facilitate transformative learning experiences and bring clarity to complex situations. As a professor, I design and implement personalized instruction for students in visual art and design. As an academic advisor, I ensure students have access to the resources they need to make informed decisions and succeed. I use my skills in course design, critical thinking, and communication to help others learn and gain understanding. As a systems thinker who regularly works with people on an individual basis, I am able to see the big picture alongside attending to particulars. In 2018, I spearheaded the redesign of an academic advising unit that yielded a 13% increase in student satisfaction with advising. Three years later, I received a university-wide award for outstanding student advising.
