Hey, I’m John! My background spans server diagnostics, large scale hardware deployment, and systems troubleshooting across complex compute environments. I’ve spent years working directly with the physical layers of cloud and HPC systems - the machines that make everything else possible. At DigitalOcean, I worked across storage platforms like S3 and Block Storage, developing a strong understanding of distributed systems and the infrastructure that keeps them running at scale. At WebstaurantStore, I focused on Software-Defined Storage, managing and troubleshooting Ceph and MinIO clusters. I automated provisioning and recovery workflows with Ansible and was often the point of escalation for diagnosing node-level failures, drive replacements, and performance anomalies across large storage fleets. At CoreWeave, I supported high-density compute nodes used for scientific workloads and AI training — handling hardware triage, thermal and power diagnostics, firmware validation, and remote fleet repair automation. I worked closely with GPUs, NVMe arrays, and InfiniBand interconnects, ensuring uptime and reliability in demanding HPC environments. Now at Voltage Park, I’m an Infrastructure Operations Engineer, maintaining and repairing NVIDIA GPU nodes at scale and working directly with large storage systems like VAST and DDN EXAScaler.
