About John Eden

Born in Massachusetts, just outside Boston. Grew up in a family run machine shop of which my grandfather started with his brother somewhere in the late fifties. Ran old school 100 ton tool and die presses as a kid-probably quite frowned upon now a days! Ended up going to a technical school and decided on welding and metal fabrication as something exciting. Had four years of training, graduated and used to moonlight for my father and uncle (family's shop, second generation). As well as working full time as a weldor at various places around eastern Massachusetts. attended Madonna University in Livonia Michigan and majored in fire science (AAS). After obtaining certain certificates. I stayed in Michigan to finish out my fire fighter 1 and 2. In late 2002 I returned to Massachusetts. Worked for an uncle driving a dump truck and paving driveways until I landed a job working wild fire for the state. In 2005 i was still dabbling in welding, driving trucks and working wild fire for the state of Mass when the curiosity settled in and I joined the Air Force. Seven years and two deployments later, I was done. From 2009-20011ish I took time off from working. Traveling, camping with friends, got reacquainted with hobbies and planet earth. The bug hit me to move west on a five year plan. Lived in Seattle for two years then bought a house in Bothell, WA. Worked as a production planner for Hinds-Bock Corp. Market went thru the roof, bought a house in Warwick, RI. Sold my house in Bothell ($$). Worked out a plan with HB to work remotely and am back east bound and down.
