About John Edwin Sweetman
Currently I am the Director of Community Service Partnerships, CAS, and Co-curricular Clubs at Upper Canada College in Toronto. I like to think of my portfolio in its entirety simply as Experiential Learning. I am also an established secondary school Design + Visual Art teacher with leadership experience, including 13 years of teaching at international schools in Hong Kong, Hungary, Oman, and South Korea. After a year of study at Toronto Metropolitan University's MFA, Documentary Media program I am now teaching MYP Design in the International Baccalaureate program at UCC with a particular focus on Human Centred + Sustainable Product Design. I occasionally serve as an MYP Design Workshop Leader and a DP Visual Arts examiner for the IBO. Outside of school, I continue my personal practice of artful documentary through photography and writing. My curiosity is broad.
