About John Escolme

Being flexible is important in the UK media market. I have always aimed at flexibility, having worked across radio, TV and online for some time, in both presentation, producer roles, and more recently project management with external partners and pan BBC. Specialties: Management of strategic relationships inside and outside the BBC in order to maximise the BBC's history with partner organisations (such as the academic and museum sectors) and online. Initiatives also include setting up and maintaining public facing projects across the BBC and externally, related to a wide variety of topics associated with the BBC's history. Exhibitions in national museums, a major collaboration with the University of Sussex bringing the BBC Oral History Collection to life through online work and public events, and providing an historical perspective on broadcasting at key anniversary moments are all part of my current activity.
