About John Fallon

Former CEO of Pearson, the world's learning company. I led it through a major digital transformation, bring its purpose - of empowering to progress in their lives through learning - alive by focusing on three principles: outcomes, affordability and the experience. Prior to my appointment as CEO, I served as Chief Executive of Pearson’s International operations, working most extensively in Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and Asia. I have also worked in a variety of public policy and communications roles, in global business, local UK government, and the Westminster Parliament. I'm now an independent adviser, working with a range of organizations - public and private, large scale and start up - that are changing the future of education and of work for good. I’m writing and teaching around the theme of “Incumbents strike back: seven lessons from the front line of digital disruption in the world of publishing”. I'm also chair of WarChild UK, an international charity based in London which protects and supports children affected by war.
