Background
About John Farris
I am a motivated, intelligent and rule following Soldier. My job as a Radio Transmitter Operator, included many responsibilities, including handling, maintaining, and signing for secret documents and programs, the implementation of my skills to complete any and all tasks assigned to me, and being a right hand man to my Platoon Leader/Lieutenant. As an Infantryman as well, I am qualified on many weapons systems, am physically fit for my occupation, and have Emergency Medical training, known as Tactical Combat Casualty Care. The majority of difficult tasks included month long training events in harsh environment's, from the Mojave Desert and Plains of Yakima, to the forests of Washington State and Georgia alike. My career goal is to graduate college as soon as my transition period with the military comes to a close, I plan on becoming a rotor wing pilot and eventually earning my EMT License as well. I have not yet decided which program to pursue. My skillsets include expert communication, conquering multifaceted technological problems, problem solving, quick thinking, and highly motivated to accomplish whatever my task may be. I am goal-oriented, I set a standard for myself and never let it not be met, as well I pride myself at being the best at whatever it is I do, from being knowledgeable about my profession, to being technically superior than those around me. I have consistently accomplished this by pushing myself to be better, studying the ins and outs of my job, asking the right questions and being tenacious when difficulty presents itself. My proudest achievement's include my military service, and my volunteer service. I have made it a point in my life that I will always strive to volunteer, the lives of those around me matter, even if I don't see them. As well, I am proud of the colleagues I have had the pleasure of working with and knowing, I pride myself on being approachable and always lending a helping hand to anyone in need, and as well reaching out for it myself, when I realize that is what I need.
