55+ YRs in the Industrial EPC market and still working Awards: CII Distinguished Service Award, the James B. Porter Jr. Award for Technology Implementation, and the Carroll H. Dunn Award of Construction Excellence. Inducted into the National Academy of Construction (NAC) 2025 22 Yrs US Army Reserves School Unit - Leadership & Professionalism Started my career as a Piping Designer. Moved into management leveraging my Army leadership training to train Project Focused leadership and project management skills. Hosted local PMI training and Toastmasters groups. Joined CII in 1992 to develop the original Project Definition Rating Index (PDRI) and Project Alignment Thermometer. Went on the serve as the S&B CII Board of advisor from 1994 to 2023. Served on numerous CII research teams mostly focused on improving Fron End Planning (FEP), Advanced Work Packaging (AWP), and Innovation Implementation. Currently leading a team to digitize the Industrial Supply Chain. Spent 50 years with S&B/FB & D serving in every aspect of the EPC world. Led the company into the digital age as architect of the integrated Project Information Management System. Led teams to implement Front End Planning, Quality Process, AWP, CII Best Practices, and automation. I completed my FB & D tenure as Director of Project Support Services which included: Procurement, Source Inspection, Quality Assurance, Estimating, and Information Management. Also served as the Innovation Leader to identify and support young people with new ideas. Currently working with IMS-Digital Technology Solutions as the Digital Asset Program Manager. We add Intelligence to laser scan data to isolate the assets, including all piping systems and components. We utilize AI applications to validate the existing P & IDs against the as built environment and link the assets in the process proving the owner with a red lined set of intelligent P & IDS. Once the assets are isolated and "intelligized", we have30+ out of the box applications that support all aspects of maintenance, inspection, turn arounds and with a special focus on the support Process Safety Management (PSM) to promote safe operations and personnel safety.
