About John Foren

Lead communications team at Sparrow Health System in a simple mission: how to tell the story of Sparrow. In so doing, we have unveiled techniques unique to many health systems, including a monthly video magazine, a video website, and exploration of new digital outlets. We specialize in branding strategies, media relations, internal and external customer relations, and marketing. Given the radical overhaul of the media world, we are exploring strategies to communicate our message in real-time to a mobile-driven audience. My background in journalism and running a newsroom has given me the management experience to work in the ever-evolving health care world. In the past year, I have overseen expansion of our video production, contributed to communications for Sparrow's Electronic Medical Records (EMR) rollout and overseen plans to radically change our communications strategy.
