About John Fortugno

Hi my name is John Fortugno and I am a Junior at Whitewater from Armonk New York. As a physical education major, I have gained a deep understanding of the benefits of exercise and its positive impact on both physical and mental health. I have developed a strong foundation in anatomy, physiology, kinesiology, and motor behavior, which has equipped me with the knowledge to design and implement effective physical activity programs for individuals and groups of all ages. In addition to my academic pursuits, I have also gained practical experience through various internships and volunteer opportunities. I have had the privilege of working with diverse populations, including children, adults, and seniors, and have enjoyed tailoring my programming to meet their unique needs and abilities. My goal as a physical education major is to promote the importance of physical activity and healthy living, and to inspire individuals to take ownership of their health and well-being. I am passionate about creating inclusive environments that foster a love for movement and encourage individuals to discover the joy of physical activity.
