My sales journey began when I graduated college and went to work for my dad at his Kenworth dealership. After 7 years I was running the sales group and was the de facto GM when the business was sold. The new owners asked me to move to Greensboro, NC and open a branch. I assisted securing the facilities, hired all the staff, and ran the branch successfully for several years. During this time, I was exposed to a new technology – onboard electronics. Rockwell International created it and several of our truck customers were raving about all the money they were saving on fuel. We persuaded Rockwell to form a reseller organization for the Tripmaster product and life began to change for me. I left the only thing I knew for 36 years– the truck dealership business – to become an entrepreneur. Over time I established my business, became profitable, and eventually teamed with like-minded folk to purchase the product from Rockwell’s successor and establish the Tripmaster Corporation. While we did well to re-establish the brand, we could not agree on future direction and I sold my interest and allied myself with leading competitors. My journey eventually landed me at GPS Insight for just shy of eight years and now with EnVue Telematics since August 2020. Specialties: Managing complex sales & processes.
