Core Accomplishments • Led sales and new business development for an Analytics software company providing agent-based modeling and market simulation software. Took the company from start-up position to over $3m in sales in less than 3 years. • Directed business development and account management for advertising and media agencies operating in US and overseas, working with Michelin, VW, Seagram, Unilever, J&J, Sabritas, etc. • Directed global knowledge management and thought leadership programs to drive business development for global advertising agency. Authored articles and white papers presenting perspectives on evolving marketing trends, strategies and agency competencies (see publications below). • Developed marketing and sales programs in Mexico for client VW, the largest selling auto brand accounting for a third of all domestic sales. Led team in launching VW Derby sedan, sold out production and countered competition in mid-priced category. • Pitched and won Michelin advertising account for DDB in Korea. Led international team in collaborative effort to bring together DDB’s global marketing best practices for the local Michelin business. • Managed product and concept research, strategic development, package design, market planning and launch of a successful new brand of Rothman’s cigarettes in Japan’s highly competitive tobacco market. • Led global launch in Japan of the world’s first hand-held satellite telephone system, a leading technology at the time permitting one phone with one number to make/receive calls anywhere on earth.
