About John Gavin

My name is John Gavin and I have had a passion for caring for animals ever since I can remember. I began my pursuit of a career as a licensed veterinary technology at Baker College of Clinton Township. I have learned and have become skilled at the following tasks: administration of anesthetic agents and monitoring patients under anesthesia; patient preparation and recovery for surgical procedures; sterile assistance to veterinarians during surgical procedures; use of diagnostic laboratory equipment; collection of biologic samples for diagnostic procedures; preparation, administration, dispensation, and understanding of medications; as well as patient assessment, husbandry, and advocacy. I am responsible for all of the aforementioned tasks as well as assisting my clinician with appointments, maintaining communication and followup with clients, participating in on-call duties, as well as any other tasks required of me.
