About John Gerow

Principal - JG Consulting Inc. John has worked as a senior leader within the pharma industry for the past twenty years. He is passionate about challenging the pharmaceutical commercial model and finding new ways of working. He is best known for successfully innovating and helping to lead the global launch of AstraZeneca’s Multichannel Marketing capabilities. While the industry continues to talk about the need for a new commercial model, John has been instrumental in introducing new sales channels across AZ globally, which has had a significant impact on how AZ interacts with customer across the brand and customer lifecycle. John led the European Commercial Excellence Team where significant changes to the operating model were implemented with a focus on customer experience. John has been recognized with a Global CEO award for “New Ways of Working” Prior to joining the global team, John held various commercial roles including, Sales Leadership, Government Affairs and RBU Director for the Ontario Business Unit in Canada where the region had several successful brand launches. Before joining AstraZeneca, John was a founding partner in a creative marketing firm working with companies such as ISG Technologies, Microsoft and Genentech on brand marketing and product launches. John holds a MBA from Ivey Business School - Western University, Canada.
