About John Gladki

Mr. Gladki FCIP RPP has forty years’ experience working with government agencies and private sector organizations on land use and policy planning, urban regeneration, local economic development, affordable housing, planning approvals, strategic planning and management. Prior to Gladki Planning Associates, he worked as a senior director at the City of Toronto’s Planning and Development Department and as a principal consultant at GHK International. His firm is updating secondary plans for three major centres in the GTA: Scarborough, Markham and Vaughan as well as many other projects in the Toronto region. In the past, John managed the preparation and implementation of the award winning Regent Park Revitalization Plan for Canada’s largest public housing project. He has been also involved in developing regeneration strategies for Toronto’s Waterfront and development approvals, planning and implementation strategies in many Ontario municipalities. He has worked on numerous urban and regional strategic planning and economic development initiatives in cities in the Middle East, Europe, North America and Latin America. Throughout his career he has focused on expanding planning practice to embrace human rights, economic opportunity and environmental sustainability. He is a Fellow of the Canadian Institute of Planners and a Registered Professional Planner.
