I am a dedicated and accomplished Environmental Health & Safety Professional with over 10 years of hands-on experience. I specialize in creative ideas, successful planning, execution of goals, and management of a diverse culture and age range of team members. Along with my background in healthcare, my strengths as an EHS professional include strong leadership, impeccable communication, and creative and analytic problem-solving. In addition to completing day-to-day operations and responsibilities, I possess the skills to effectively manage workplace safety, promote a culture of health and safety, and ensure compliance with all regulations. It is a passion of mine to lead programs that protect people from environmental hazards and workplace hazards, as well as, protect the environment from human hazard. I am honest, fair, ethical, consistent, and reliable. I will always act as an ambassador of safety, health and environmental responsibility. My proven results in revitalizing safety programs, ability to provide a return on investment for the position and relatability to all employees on the team, gives me all the tools needed to succeed and be promoted throughout the company. At Great Lakes Cheese I created and implemented an ergonomics policy to reduce muscle strains and sprains. My ergonomics policy was recognized by GLC Corporate, and I was invited to present my policy to the National EHS Manager. I then taught 7 other facilities how to implement the new ergonomics policy. At the Plymouth location we worked 113 days without a reportable muscle injury after implementation. At Cardinal Environmental/Suburban Laboratories I was contracted by over 100 various industries to perform OSHA audits and safety walk-throughs, coach and mentor safety teams and teach safe work practices. I specialize in building rapports and recognizing specific industry needs. I authored and edited numerous different safety policies, JSA’s, SOP’s and safety manuals. I had a positive track record on keeping employees safe while continuing steady production. I established environmental programs, completed W-DNR and EPA compliance reporting and kept PCR and DMR logs. At Voeller Mixers I created a safe and positive work environment by educating all employees on safe working habits. To reinforce safe practices, I developed “Safety Hero” cards. Office staff walked the plant and individualized these cards to employees seen working safely. It proved to be quite uplifting for all team members. I established a new hazardous waste program and initiated W-DNR Air Permitting certification.
