About John Goodin

I started my professional career in the United States Marine Corps, where I served in Japan and CA for 4 years. The training I received in servant leadership, attention to detail, adaptability, integrity, resilience, problem solving and conflict resolution still aide me today. The environment of work is different, but leading by example, and putting others above my self has not changed. At Okland, I have had excellent mentors that helped me build upon the technical skills taught in the Del Webb School of Construction, as well as Business Management skills from Colorado State University’s MBA program. Building a broad knowledge of field and project management has allowed me to thrive and succeed in fast paced environments across very different projects. I bring a Futuristic perspective to projects, envisioning innovative solutions and putting them into action. I am an achiever, so I thrive in a high-performance environment, consistently driving projects to successful completion with attention to detail. Skills in executing are complemented by my strong organization skills that allow me to manage complex project components, ensuring seamless collaboration between diverse stakeholders. Beyond technical proficiency, I foster strong connections within project teams and business partners, promoting a collaborative and positive work environment.I help to achieve these projection completions by consistently excelling in the following tasks-Drafting, Negotiating and Executing Work Orders to Trade Partners -Change Management via tracking potential change orders, and vetting them when received -Owner communication and project status reporting -Submittal review with multidisciplinary detail coordination -Request for Information (RFI) to Architect/Engineer drafting, submission and distribution -Procurement tracking of long lead time items in relation to project schedule -Safety Management and policy enforcement in the field per OSHA and company safety standards -Quality inspections referencing product data, and Architect/Engineer design-Management Software programming and administration
