About John Gough

I am a creative, solution-orientated person with a logical, compassionate approach to everything I do. I am currently working in the esports industry - broadcasting international events at Riot Games. I've received training in various roles at the Riot Games Broadcasting Center including: GFX operator, Media Asset Management, VMix Operator and On-site Communications Operator. My passion is music production and I am adept at recording and producing music for commercial use. I have been using Logic Pro for 10+ years and I have created various content for two music platforms. I have also designed and implemented audio for games. My Master's Degree in Creative Digital Media has provided me with the expertise to make a valuable contribution to a role involving the development of Digital Media. During my time in TUD, I gained experience in Graphic Design, Scripting C# and Game Design, 3D Modeling, Sound Design, and UI/UX development. While receiving my undergrad at DCU I honed my skills in the entire Adobe Suite and Logic Pro X. With a varied portfolio of digital media content I have proven to be a quick learner with a passion for new technologies. The skills I've acquired throughout my time as a Manager have made me a great communicator, listener, and motivator. I learned an enormous amount about retail, commerce, and myself in my year as a department manager in Decathlon: liaising with brands on an international level, realizing 3.7m in turnover, and recruiting and leading a team of 20+ people. The role taught me the difference between being a leader and being a manager. My many years in the service industry have taught me the value of hard work, responsibility, authenticity, and generosity in a workplace. I like to say:"The way you do anything is the way you do everything." so take pride in every task you face. Outside of work, I love taking on new projects and adventures, and I love to learn.
