Vessels worked on Norlift Apache Constructor Deep Blue Moved to Houston, Texas to set up a WPQT Fabrication Shop. Build the shop from 4 walls and a concrete floor to a fully functional Weld Procedure Qualification and Welder Qualification Shop. Built up a great safety culture and did not have one Lost Time Injury in the whole of my time in Houston running the shop, 13 years in total. Workplace Risk Assessments. Annual review of Risk Assessments with local and worldwide safety teams. Installed Automatic and Manually welding bays. Beveling areas. Purchased plant for the shop and the yard. Controlled everything from the pipe arriving in the yard to the delivery of the finished product to multiple test labs in the Houston area and all associated paperwork, material transfers etc. Construction of 2G & 5G fatigue and bending trials. Payroll entry Schedule and train employees Employee performance evaluation Employee interviews Pipe sizes from 4” to 48” WPQT’s qualified over the course of 13 years for SPOOLBASES & Jay-lay, reel-lay, Beach pull jobs Bahamas 42” and Trinidad & Tobago 16” and Landlines all over the US!
