I have a Bachelor of Commerce from the Asper School of Business majoring in Supply Chain Management and Marketing. Upon graduation I was hired at Richardson International as a logistics coordinator where I worked on executing sales for various grain commodities by rail and truck in the domestic market. I was then was moved to various position which supported our export business where I gained experience writing commercial contracts with our customers as well as the contracts with our vessel owners. I also worked closely on the day to day marine operations ensuring that we were moving grain out of our terminals on to vessels and shipping the products to our end customers in as efficient manner as possible to help maintain or improve margins and reduce the company’s overall risk. In my current position as a hedge desk merchant I trade both a variety of commodity futures and foreign exchange for multiple business units to hedge against price fluctuations in the market.
