About John Haas

John Haas, a commercial retail associate with Trout Daniel and Associates, LLC, has joined the firm after being a residential real estate agent for over 10 years. Prior to joining the real estate world, John was the director of corporate relations for the law firm of Hodes, Ulman, Pessin and Katz, located in the Baltimore-area. While in this position, his responsibilities included organizing and scheduling corporate functions, and contacting potential clients to meet with specialized attorneys to discuss mutual interest projects. Previous to his work with Hodes, Ulman, Pessin and Katz, John spent a large portion of his business career as an executive in the men’s’ clothing industry. He had a 42-year career with Haas Tailoring Company, the last 12 of which he served as president and CEO. After the business was sold in John was recruited by Hartz and Company in Frederick, Maryland, to start a new menswear division. In addition to his professional experience in business, retail and real estate, John has served on the boards for a wide-range of charitable and civic causes. A graduate of the University of Maryland, as John continues to serve on many university committees and boards. An ardent Terps fan, John's other interests include the Orioles and Ravens, and, most importantly, his family and grandchildren.
