As a Chartered Advisor in Philanthropy - I help donors give in the smartest and most tax efficient way to reach their charitable goals, experience the joy in giving, and have a tremendous impact on the things they care most deeply about. I do this by helping donors leverage the superior tax benefits of using appreciated non-cash assets to meet their current charitable giving goals- such as: real estate, business interests (S-Corp, C-Corp, LLC's, ect), investment portfolios, and many other appreciated assets to maximize deductions while mitigating or eliminating capital gains tax. I also help donors consider both the tax implications and the best tax strategies to utilize during Retirement and the Estate Planning process. I serve as a helpful resource in regard to: Wills, Trusts, IRA’s, QCD’s, RMD’s, Real Estate, Selling a Business, Succession Planning, Life Insurance, Investment Portfolios, Beneficiary Designations, Beneficiary Deeds, TOD accounts, ect. Finally, I get the incredible and humbling opportunity to walk with donors through the deeper and sometimes more complex issues of leaving a legacy and how to pass down and communicate their passions, values, and desires to their loved ones in a meaningful way. What does that look like? What do you do when you are afraid a large inheritance could be destructive to your loved one’s growth and full potential? How much money is enough for your children? What do you do with a wayward son/daughter? What is the final message you want to communicate that will have a ripple effect in your family?
