About John Hamshare

I am an experienced aviation expert with senior manager roles in regulation, compliance, safety and training. I have worked alongside EASA, CAA, IATA, ACI and other aviation professionals, in contributing and influencing roles. I have been closely involved in many aspects of airside operations such as airside driver training, ground handling, winter operations, safety management and procedures. I have experience of bow tie risk modelling, data analysis, development of technical standards and am a qualified auditor (IRCA). I was, until recently, the founder and chair of the UK Airports Winter Resilience group and I attended and chaired the European Airports Winter Working Group. I was a member of the UK Flight Safety Committee, UK CAA GHOST (founder member), the EASA aerodromes and ground handling group and was chairman of the AOA Ops and Safety Group. My interests include cycling, playing cricket, walking, reading, concerts, theatre and films.
