About John Harold

John’s interests lie at the intersection of health policy, technology, and healthcare economics. As a Systems Analyst / Trainer with the Digital Products and Innovation department, John ensures clinicians not only understand the clinical systems in use but are confident and work efficiently. Recent projects include supporting the implementation of enhanced billing in clinical documentation, a new MSK telemedicine platform, and a clinical research tab to digitally document adverse events for patients on protocols. John and his team are also beginning to aid the roll out of a clinical decision support tool to mitigate unnecessary radiology testing in adherence to The Protecting Access to Medicare Act (PAMA). Driving digital transformation to expand access and reduce health care costs is a key focus for John, bringing a sense of pride and determination to the projects described above. Of his character, compassion, quality, and results are qualities always sought after and are evident in his work as he has been awarded the Annual Service Award (2017) and the Care Coordinator of the month award (2015) at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center.
