About John Harris

John is the Executive Director of the Waterfall Humanitarian Foundation, whose mission is to save, preserve and uplift, and whose main projects are directed to children in hospitals worldwide.(see waterfallhumanitarian.org) John Arthur Harris experience include seventeen years as a Senior Commercial Diplomat with US Embassies in Mexico, Chile, Brazil and Israel. Before that he served as corporate executive with IBM in Venezuela, CFO of several companies, and Sales or Business Development executive in various corporations. With a Bachelor (Cum Laude) and a Masters in Electrical Engineering, and an MBA, he was instrumental in helping technology companies and in handling matters of technical standards and intellectual property. He has throughout knowledge of Latin America’s languages and culture, solid knowledge of Asia and the Middle East and background of selling in Europe. Born in Chile and raised in Uruguay, of Chinese, British, Spanish and Swiss ancestry, he lived and/or worked in most countries in the American continent. He started educational programs in Peru, Bolivia and Ecuador and then served as Mission President in Argentina at the age of 30. He is fluent in Spanish and Portuguese besides English, with knowledge of French and Italian. His love of academia has led him to teach mathematics, economics, and international business at universities.
