John Henion is an Emmy and IDA award-winning storyteller who has produced, directed, and served as showrunner on documentary narratives for almost two decades, often specializing in sports storytelling. Some of Henion's most notable credits include producing on the first season of CHEF'S TABLE, and showrunning the Netflix Original Series FEARLESS. He went on to executive producer DEAR. for Apple TV+, followed by THE PLAYBOOK for Netflix. Henion also created THE PECOS LEAGUE and ROAD TO THE SHOW for Fox Sports 1. He got his start directing and producing the Peabody, Livingston and Dupont award winning investigative docuseries, VANGUARD for Al Gore's Current TV. Henion is currently Showrunning and Directing the FX series, WELCOME TO WREXHAM, about Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney’s adventures into Welsh football club ownership.
