About John Hillier

John Hillier BSc (Hons.) I have worked within a variety of private, public and third sector roles in Blaenau Gwent; having a comprehensive working knowledge within engineering and information technology. I am currently a teacher of computing, ICT and photography at Ebbw Fawr Learning Community. In addition to my profession I dedicate time as a director and the secretary of Beaufort Hill Ponds & Woodlands Preservation Society and recently appointed Chair of Governor’s at Beaufort Hill Primary School. I consider myself to be a self-motivated ambitious professional with the objective to support the ethos of developing community engagement by providing opportunities for social and recreational activities. My aspirations are driven by a desire to share whatever skills I have to support the well-being and education provision in my local community. When not involved with my vocational activities I share my enthusiasm of life with my loving wife and two children and my extra-curricular activities includes watching a good game of rugby at Ebbw Vale RFC, walking my dog, mountain biking and running.
