About John Hollis

Hello, my name is Johnathon Hollis, and I currently serve as an Assistant Diversity Officer on behalf of the United States Naval Academy (USNA) while serving current duty within the U.S. Navy. My established history in the Navy as a project management and human resource (HR) specialist is exemplified by actively preparing and overseeing both individual and group efforts in highly complex and technical workplace environments. In turn, my role as a diversity officer is demonstrated by directly advocating for higher diversity and inclusion (D&I) via specialized events and engagement designed to increase community awareness. My career is also supplemented by certification in D&I from Cornell University and official status as a Professional in Human Resources (PHR) from the Human Resource Certification Institute (HRCI). I’ve similarly received two (2) Navy & Marine Corps Achievements and a Commendation Medal (as well as the Battle “E”, Red “E”, and SECNAV Energy Conversation Award) in recognition for outstanding services. I’m confident that the skills and experience described in my profile represent highly valuable and transferable assets in the workplace and look forward to discussing my career background in greater detail.
