About John J. Laubmeier

I am an experienced attorney with 20 years in private practice focused on litigation, construction law, and business law. Over the course of my career, I have represented clients in complex disputes, including multimillion-dollar construction and commercial cases, and have appeared before state and federal courts, arbitration panels, and the Wisconsin Supreme Court. In 2025, I transitioned from private practice to become General Counsel at Findorff, one of the Midwest's leading general contractors. In this role, I draw on my background in construction and litigation to provide practical, business-minded legal guidance that supports the company’s projects, people, and long-term success. I have been recognized in The Best Lawyers in America and Wisconsin Super Lawyers, served as President of the Dane County Bar Association, and was appointed by the Wisconsin Supreme Court to its Appointment Selection Committee. I also contribute to the legal profession through writing and speaking on civil procedure and construction law topics.
