I care deeply about people and believe in a future where the software we build is rooted in trust and accessibility. A future where innovation is balanced with empathy, enabling every individual to navigate the digital world with confidence and ease.As the Executive Director of the BC Digital Trust Program with the Government of British Columbia, I lead a dedicated team of professionals committed to ensuring software serves people, safeguarding their privacy, security, and confidence.In addition to my role with the BC Digital Trust Program, I am the founder and chair of the Trust Over IP Foundation and an active contributor to the Linux Foundation. My advocacy for digital trust and open-source initiatives extends our influence beyond British Columbia to the global stage.In 2020, I experienced a life-altering spinal cord injury that left me without the use of my arms and legs. This experience has given me a new perspective on the critical need for accessibility in software. While I am grateful for the capabilities of today's software, we must push further. Our goal is clear: to ensure that the software we rely on daily is not only secure and private but also accessible to all, regardless of abilities.Thanks to the unwavering support of my family, friends, and colleagues, I continue to work towards a better future where the software we build truly serves everyone.
