Non-fiction, 416 pages. • Editor, primary writer, layout designer & publisher for the Wild Food Adventurer newsletter, 1996-2006. • Professional photographer for 40 years. Photo editor for 15 years. WHAT I'M DOING • Research & photography on Vol 2 of the Wild Food Adventure Book Series. • Continuing to develop & grow Wild Food Adventures. • Continuing training, consulting, & speaking across North America. MY GOALS • To help transform the field of wild foods into a more respected subject matter. Combining the fields of nutrition, botany, ethnobotany, history, food science, sustainability and environmental recreation into a coherent “wild food” field of study. Describing the field's parameters and defining its terms. • Research, publishing, and teaching in the area of edible wild plants and other foragables. Studying their past, present, and potential future. • Partnering with and assisting original North Americans in their efforts to restore and revitalize traditional foodways. • Producing books, live presentations, training events, and multimedia technologies — including television, DVD’s, and computer accessible means. • Promoting the environment and stewardship of the Earth. • Expand the scope and reach of the Institute for the Study of Edible Wild Plants & Other Foragables.
