I am a mechanical engineer, energy consultant, and energy efficiency specialist with 36 years of experience solving complex industrial energy system and plant utility problems with special emphasis on improving safety, reliability, and energy efficiency of manufacturing operations. With extensive energy engineering and powerhouse equipment reliability expertise, I identify, evaluate, and prioritize efficiency and sustainability improvements and implement the solutions necessary to help businesses achieve their energy use and sustainability goals. I have in-depth experience evaluating energy project feasibility, establishing facility energy management programs and developing business energy strategy. I am also a combustion and steam boiler safety expert qualified in managing safety and environmental improvements. I'm a registered Professional Engineer (NC), Certified Energy Manager (CEM), certified Six Sigma Green Belt, and former principal member on four Technical Committees for NFPA 85 (Boiler and Combustion Systems Hazard Code) and NFPA 87 (Fluid Heaters).
