Helping my mom recover from a heart attack years ago opened my eyes to how truly disconnected and fragmented our health care system is. Even after years of working in the health care industry, I still felt frustrated. There was no advocate to coordinate care for her – we didn’t know what to do, or the kind of specialists and medications she needed during her recovery. I realized there's got to be a better way for my mom and for all the moms and dads out there. That personal experience led me to my calling – to help seniors get the kind of care and support they need and deserve. That’s why we founded Alignment Health. Today, we are aiming to set a new, innovative standard in health care delivery, shifting the focus of health care from payments to people. With adults turning 65 every day, the need to ensure our seniors receive the best care is greater than ever.
