John's more than 25 year career includes Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and Chief Operating Officer (COO) roles in large, sophisticated, international Fortune 40 companies as well as high growth venture capital and private equity backed business. He possesses a proven record of career-long significant achievements built on implementing process driven systems which eliminate non - productive costs and stream line operations. Significant fund raising and transaction experience including broad carve out and international experience. Selected Accomplishments: Successfully carved out and strategically divested over $350 million of W R Grace & Co (NYSE) worldwide businesses over a two year period. Each transaction required restatement of financials, production of an offering memo, related term sheet and multiple business plan presentations and interim service agreements. Acquisition and integration of a number of publishing entities which resulted in New England's second largest newspaper chain. Integration included closing 7 offices and 3 production facilities and replacing them with a state of the art production plant. Managed the selection and implementation of ERP solutions at W R Grace (SAP), Newstarcom (Timberline) and Community Newspaper Company ( Proprietary newspaper software). John served as CFO and interim President of one of American Capital Strategies' near bankrupt portfolio companies. He was one of a two man team which doubled revenues to $200 million and drove EBITDA from zero to $10 million in three years and secured a $45 million offer for the business. While at W R Grace (NYSE) for over 17 years John held multiple financial leadership and CFO roles including CFO of one of Grace's six large worldwide product lines, Specialty Polymers. In addition, John was the CFO of the Polyfibron Division which was a collection of more than 15 businesses ranging in size from $5 million to $100 million in revenue.
