Currently Working at Cameco as the Senior Industrial Controls engineer at Head office in Saskatoon. Co-leading the OT support group, leading various community of practice groups related to OT, and working with Process based management to streamline and standardize our various control systems across a large and varied company. As Senior Mine Electrical Engineer for Nutrien Vanscoy potash. I got to work with a great team of electricians and technologists. I was primarily focused on automation systems, industrial networking, Wonderware SCADA and PLC controls. Interested in gaining experience and training on working with high voltage distribution, hoisting systems, and managing projects. It was very interesting to be a part of the teleremote project at Vanscoy, writing specifications for future proofing the site control systems, and was working on a 5 year plan to get rid of old hardware and make way for newer and better systems. At Nutrien Vanscoy Potash for the mill, I was responsible for operational automation systems on site at the Vanscoy potash mill: including maintenance, operation, and changes to 23 Foxboro redundant DCS controllers and associated hardware; over 30 Rockwell PLC (controllogix, compactlogix, and SLC) maintenance and changes; over 80 rockwell VFDs; and a significant set of control networks. Rebuilding and recommissioning a large portion of the control system in Loadout at site post fire was a major focus in 2020 and 2021. I was the go to person on site for new automation systems, VFD setups, and have worked to integrate A Delta V DCS Advanced process control project into our Foxboro DCS. I am an active, personable, and outgoing person who takes my work seriously and care about the people I work with. I like to take on interesting new challenges at work and enjoy varied experiences. Aside from mining I have varied in the automation field for 10 years previous. I was a system integrator and project manager specializing in water and waste water projects but also security and general automation. We used any PLC and HMI that was available or required by our customers. I spent the most time with Allen Bradley/ Rockwell PLCs and Schneider electric PLCs. During this time I also programmed with GE ifix and GE PLCs, Omron, Schneider citect and many more.
