About John Koehler

I am a licensed Professional Engineer with 17 years of experience working as an electrical engineer and project manager in the industrial power and mission critical space. I started my career as an electrical engineer in the water industry working for Black & Veatch where I designed water, wastewater, sea water desalination plants. Six years into my career I accepted a new opportunity HDR. As an electrical engineer and project manager I supported electrical utilities on a wide variety of engineering and consulting projects. Project management experience includes, engineering design, plant decommissioning, transmission planning (including land rights and environmental studies), and federal grant pursuits. At Markon Solutions I supported a federal government mission critical customer as an on site owner's engineer. I supported the facility as a project SME, performing design reviews, developing scopes of work, MOPs and SOPs. I developed strategic plans for long term power supply, including extensive work with electric utility for highly reliable service. I continue to work in the mission critical space at Vantage Data Centers where I serve as the Principal Electrical Engineer for Innovation in North America. I drive consistent and scalable solutions for Vantage's electrical infrastructure with focus on solutions that can be economically and rapidly deployed in North America and globally.
