About John Kutner

John joined Iona in 2011 and is the Chairman of the Investment Committee established by the Company to oversee all investment decisions. John also sits on the board as Chairman of a number of Investee Companies. John served as Finance Director and Deputy Chief Executive of Veolia Environmental Services (the UK’s largest Waste Management Company) since its establishment in the UK in 1990. During that time, he acquired a wide experience of the UK waste management industry including Municipal, Commercial and Industrial Waste Management, Waste Treatment including Landfill, Incineration and Recycling. In particular he was responsible for negotiating and managing large integrated Waste and PFI projects. Prior to that John spent 19 years in the Construction Industry including serving as Finance Director for Tarmac Construction International and Transmanche Link (the joint venture constructing the Channel Tunnel). Before the Construction Industry John worked in the Accountancy Profession including 6 years with KPMG both in the UK, Middle East and Australia. John is an FCA as well as a member of the Chartered Institute of Taxation and a Fellow of the Chartered Institution of Wastes Management of which he is the Honorary Treasurer.
