I have a diverse history in military operations, planning, logistics, personnel management, Force on Force simulation systems operation and integration, inventory control, computer programming, electronics troubleshooting/repair, personnel training, project administration, public speaking, workplace safety, quality control, finance, professional development, scheduling, and conflict resolution. While serving in the Marine Corps as a Combat Engineer participated in three combat deployments to Iraq, working in extreme conditions performing counter improvised explosive device operations, breaching, enemy weapons reduction, field fortifications, survivability, mobility and counter mobility operations, and security and stability operations. During peacetime continued to train Marines in all aspects of their MOS and skills. Served in many leadership roles to include team, squad, and section leader, training NCO, and Platoon Sergeant. Ensured Marines of the unit were trained in the necessary skills to ensure deplorability to multiple theaters of operation. These skills allowed me to reach the Rank of Staff Sergeant and built a foundation of accountability, leadership, and determination that will carry with me throughout my professional career and personal life. I currently serve as Warehouse Manager/Instrumented Tactical Engagement Simulation System Lead. I am responsible for the planning and integration of Force on Force Simulation systems to include Special Effects Small Arms Marking System (SESAM), Upgraded Training Munitions, MILSIMFX IED Simulators, Battlefield Effects Simulators, and Portable Infantry Target Systems. These systems allow Marines to engage in Force on Force operations in a safe environment to enhance their skills on the battlefield. These systems provide non-pyrotechnic effects and illumination, casualty scenarios, threat identification, and realistic sounds and feelings in a safe manner. I am the lead instructor for the systems as well as the lead repair technician. I regularly attend planning sessions for company and battalion level training events for 100-600 personnel. My staff integrates and operates with the Marine Corps units with little disruption to their training event. Passions include a constant yearning for knowledge and education, process improvement, and constant self improvement.
