My experience includes public accounting including 20 plus years big four audit experience, internal audit, all phases of SOX implementation and maintenance and managerial accounting. As an audit manager I have succeeded in managing all phases of the audit process from developing control risk assessments for various organizations, preparing audit budgets (financial, resources and timing of audit engagements) and planning and managing several engagements simultaneously as well as participating in fieldwork and documentation of the audit results in reports for audit committee meetings and management use. My objective is to portray the audit department as a resource for business units to take advantage of to enhance the efficiency of their operations, processes and procedures. My experience includes working closely with the external auditors to ascertain that scheduling is convenient for the company and provide as much upfront assistance as possible to facilitate the external audit process and reduce cost as much as possible. I performed due diligence relating to Internal Controls, Foreign Corrupt Practices Act, Political Compliance and Conflict of Interest policies as well as International Trade policies. My experience also covers A-133 compliance audits of government and grant contracts My audits have been domestic as well as international to Africa, Wales, Jamaica and Puerto Rico. I traveled up 50%.
