About John Laaker

Growing up in Saint Louis, I got to see what makes this city and its people special. After graduating from Missouri S&T with a mechanical engineering degree and working in that field, my entrepreneur spirit came out. I moved to the business world, earned my MBA, and found Edward Jones in 2003. It was a perfect match for my drive to help others and my desire to grow my own business Another reason Edward Jones was a great fit is their family-forward environment. My wife, DeAnn, and I have three children. Jacob and Sarah are in college while Sam is in high school. My wife and I have been able to coach all of our children in soccer and basketball. We lead a very active family rooted in Christian values and apply them to our daily lives. My motivation is a result of my entrepreneur spirit and the Edward Jones culture that lets me give personalized care to each client. Cindy Hibbard and I have worked together for 10 years and strive every day to provide the ideal client experience, focusing both on their current needs and long-term goals. No two scenarios are the same and neither are the approaches to mapping out the strategies for achieving those goals. Whether it’s preparing for/or living in retirement, planning for education, estate considerations or a life changing experience such as marriage, a new baby or an unexpected illness, we are here to serve our clients and their families.
