With a diverse and consistently successful background in a variety of industries, I am available to jump in as Head of Sales, Business Development, Account Management or similar within a progressive organization. The early portion of my career was focused on media sales, specifically with a number of television broadcast entities working in both English and French. A number of years of growth in account management roles led to the opportunity to be part of the team that launched TELETOON, Canada's first and only (at the time) cartoon channel. I was tapped to run sales for the network and in year 1 was able to exceed the revenue target by 400%. Over the next 5-7 years, my team built the ad revenue base to $60 million+ by focusing on key account management, exemplary customer service and consistent new business development. Change in ownership structure gave me the opportunity to lead sales for the entire stable of Kids Television and Digital properties for Corus Entertainment where a challenging business climate made a focus on retaining revenue a key priority. Through hard work, a commitment to doing the right thing and the development of alternative revenue generating models, my team and I grew our business by double digits (12%) in my last year of leadership at Corus while the industry average was less than 4%. During this time, I was able to begin and complete my Masters in Business Administration (MBA) from the Ivey School of Business at Western while continuing to work full-time. This experience gave me a more diverse and robust view of business as a whole and positioned me to go beyond the role of Sales Leader in order to make increased contributions to the organization. The more current portion of my career has seen me apply some of those learnings to different organizations, but my focus has always been on generating revenue. Some examples:* In business development at consultancy rogenSi, I secured the largest, Canadian led multi-national engagement in the company's history.* With The Weather Network, I negotiated and closed the largest agency spend commitment in the company's history.* While at WE Charity, my team created proposals and materials that led to $2 million in brand new funding
