I'm a policy journalist with tabloid roots. I have a record of story editing and managing newsroom-wide efforts to shape breaking news and enterprise content into comprehensive daily newsletters for paying subscribers. I've managed several reporting teams and enjoy the balancing act of editing daily news content along with in-depth explanatory journalism, while managing reporters and editors of varying levels of experience. I lead a team at Bloomberg Industry Group that produces daily and weekly subscription-based newsletters focused on Congress and federal agencies, federal and state courts and the legal sector, and federal and state tax policy. I've covered the US government, Congress, and the judicial system from Washington, D.C, since early 2016, after a decade as a journalist in New York City focused on national and local news, politics, and the criminal justice system. I previously worked at POLITICO, where I specialized in newsletter editing and managed a team of reporters covering trade policy during the US-China trade war.
