About John Lenihan

I get satisfaction out of experience opportunities, as a child, I took toys apart to understand how they worked, putting them back together established me on a path of learning, a mind-set that would mature along with my competence and curiosity. Even then, occasional failure was not enough to stop me, instead, I ventured to my next "experiments" with lessons from my defeats to secure my successes. I attribute my greatest triumphs to my extremely analytical nature which enables me to understand what opportunities exist to reinvent, recreate and improve. As an adult, the determined motivation of my younger self is still strong. Today I work in highly regulated environments as a Field Service Engineer, supporting Pharmaceutical, Medical Devices, Petro Chemical, Education and Food production industries in Ireland, still problem solving and always learning through experience, research, our suppliers and interacting with clients. I very much enjoyed working in R&D with BorgWarner, ultimately tasked with being the person to transfer and commission equipment, as well as on-site training of our Spanish colleagues in Vigo and CTAG to maintain continuity of service to ongoing projects for Audi, Tesla, Volvo, Ford and Mercedes Benz. Being a part of the outstanding Engineering team in BorgWarner was as much an education in cutting edge technologies as it was in great teamwork. Personally finding a software problem, and its solution which eventually became an update to all Model 3 Tesla's was a high-point that fulfilled a dream I had when I stripped my first engine. Very similar to the one in the photo behind me. I enjoy education and want to progress my degree. I have "old school" work ethic. I encourage and do my best to inspire younger team members. I know from experience that a lot can be accomplished within an effective team. If I don't know it, I can learn it.
