About John Leong

A member of 2 professional accountancy bodies i.e. CPA Australia and Chartered Institute of Management Accountants. Had close to 20 years of working experience, mostly in the manufacturing environment. Experienced & achieved multiple SAP start-ups, setting up numerous departments and led various projects; from cost savings, process improvements, GST and many more. Was with Eastman Chemical Company as the site finance manager for 7 years. Also a member of the Board as a statutory director for 2 Malaysian entities. In 2016, undertook a major life decision to migrate to Adelaide, South Australia. Touched down Adelaide on January 1st and managed to get recruited as an Accountant in Cavill Power Products P/L in March after more than 100 applications. This position holds a balanced mix of conventional accounting work covering closing, budgeting and internal assurance and business driven accounting responsibilities of forecasting and business analysis. Systems wise, utilising a wide base of relevant business solutions which includes a transactional system which is linked to SAP & SAP BW which in turn provide value added input to an advance forecasting system.
