About John Lester

I am a research and development intern at Polyview Health, a company that develops AI solutions for language processing, data collection, and biometrics for healthcare and telemedicine platforms. I collaborate with the lead software engineer and use my skills in data analysis, interviewing, R coding, public speaking, and qualitative research to connect colleagues with experts and research labs, develop project plans, and refine existing projects. I am also pursuing a BS in Psychology at Cal Poly SLO, where I am a track and field and cross country athlete and an NCAA All-American in the 800m. I have a strong academic background in Psychology, having studied at Stanford University for 2.5 years, where I conducted research on wildfire prevention initiatives with the Bill Lane Center for the American West. I have also gained experience in law and politics, working as an investigative assistant for a personal injury attorney and an intern for a congressional campaign. I am motivated by learning new things, solving complex problems, and making a positive difference in the world. In my academic and professional endeavors, I seek to align my work with my passions and values. I am always eager to collaborate with diverse and innovative teams and contribute to impactful projects.
