About John Licata

Working in Behavioral Health, seeking to become a non-profit entrepreneur in the Mental Health and Substance Use Disorder fields. Having worked at primarily Small Businesses, a minor background in Law, and a Bachelor's in Business Administration, I am chasing a dream in reducing the stigma of mental health treatment, and bringing awareness to the disorder that is addiction while aiding those who are vulnerable to be able to stand up and fend for themselves independently in a safe and healthy manner. Having been hit-and-run post graduation in 2018, I was taken out of work and had the trajectory of my life changed without any semblance of control. It's taken years for me to physically and mentally get back to where I "should" be, and I want to bring my experience to help others do the same. Currently pursuing my passion in both behavioral health, playing cooperative story-based games, and inspired by other organisations doing the same, I've launched Mastering Mental Mayhem LLC. A therapeutically applied role playing games center for anyone to be able to play a game with a group, or one on one with a trained, person centered, and trauma informed games master. A place for everyone to feel like they belong at the table, regardless of their identity or social behavior history. Currently in a free open beta program, apply now at masteringmentalmayhem.org
