About John Ligo

With over 22 years of experience in the international education sector, I am a passionate and driven professional who strives to promote cross-cultural exchange and collaboration and to enable access to quality and affordable education for all. I hold a Doctor of Business Administration and a Master of Business Administration, with a focus on International Consumer Behaviour, a field that informs my strategic approach to understanding and catering to the needs, preferences, and challenges of students and educators across diverse markets and cultures. I served as the Regional Representative for the University of Malta, one of Europe's oldest and most prestigious higher education institutions. During my tenure, I oversaw the University's operations and recruitment activities in the Indian subcontinent and the Middle East region. Under my leadership, the University of Malta achieved significant milestones, particularly in the Indian subcontinent, through meticulous course selection and tailored marketing strategies. I am currently the Chief Operations Officer of ApplyMalta.com, an innovative online platform dedicated to connecting prospective study abroad agents with Maltese educational institutions. In this role, I manage the overall operations and strategic direction of the platform, ensuring seamless collaboration between agents and institutions.
