John Ling is a seasoned healthcare IT leader with over a decade of experience delivering digital health and clinical transformation initiatives in hospital settings. Currently, as Project Director – Outpatient Workstream for Project REACH at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre, John leads the implementation of an enterprise-wide Health Information System (HIS) across outpatient clinical areas. His work focuses on aligning clinical workflows, digital solutions, and stakeholder priorities to enhance patient-centered care and improve clinical efficiencies. John has successfully led several major initiatives, including CPOE implementation at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre and HIS deployment at Women’s College Hospital. More recently, he drove Sunnybrook’s HIS vendor evaluation and contract negotiation processes, collaborating with clinical, technical, and executive teams. With a strong ability to bridge the gap between clinical needs and IT solutions, John excels at delivering complex projects by engaging stakeholders, managing risks, and ensuring smooth execution.
